SSR's Not Accepting in Order

Recommended Posts

Not wanting to cause issues really when I am still pretty new here but I am sure I am not the only one that finds this unacceptable.

It is not that I want my songs to be approved right away at all, it is simply the principle of the matter. I have seen others mention it and would like to understand what is causing this.

It is easy to see if you have any songs in the queue, I have two songs submitted on the 4th of August that have been waiting with so many other songs this week accepted even multiple from the same person.

If there is some logical acceptance system that I am missing then please explain, for I have entirely missed it and if so I apologize.

For that reason perhaps the order SSR's are supposed to accept songs should be explained for people like me to understand.

Hi,

There is no reason for this they should never go out of order the only time we go out of order is when 3+ SSR's are approving at once so we dont step on each other obviously as of late that has not been the case. I will say however in defense of the SSR's that the approval queue goes in reverse order than expected, Most of us would expect older ones to be approved first, then work down to the newest however the approval queue system shows newest first instead of oldest first.

Unfortunately this is not a quick fix due to inherited coding of the board via invisionpower normally you would not notice it in the past since so many people were accepting submissions that it went really quick and no one realized. However now that its one or two SSR's doing the work it sticks out a bit more.

I have just sent SSR position offers to four people on the board hopefully song acceptance rates will move quickly again after they are trained.

Well that is good to hear that you will be getting some much needed help with approving. ^^

The site is still very new so it is entirely understandable that there would be things to be worked out like the approving system.  I was just severely confused because the one song I did have approved did not seem to make much sense that it was the first chosen of them all. ^^;;

I was not intending to cause a fuss so we could delete the topic if you prefer or leave it up for others to read and understand.

Thank you for your explanation.

I will say I also noticed that they are, indeed, going out of order lately, but I didn't wanna really be a bother, as it's not a huge deal.  Still, as it stands, my newest solo submission'll be approved straight to the second page :P  haha

Yeah the system shows the listing based on its ID... in newest first. So when they go out of order or newest first its instantly on the second page, etc. Not really a way around this right now, but even if they went in order and completed all the submission approvals it would often be pushed to the second page regardless depending on how many are in front of you.
